Celestial Bunnies Postcard

Moments would pass us by as we refused to stir, pretending that time did not exist. Hushed breaths and fears of goodbyes lingered in the stillness until it started to rain. It was gentle at first, and we laid ourselves back and poked a hole into the sky, watching the rain fall as the stars would try to peek through the clouds. They winked at us every chance they had, as if they knew a secret that we, ourselves, had yet to know.

A secret kept safe at the end of every summer.
